Product Sheet
Fixed Attenuators
In many optical fiber applications it is necessary to reduce the optical power level in the cable. The connectorized plug-in optical attenuators are very easy to use and install and it is possible to avoid the problems caused by excess power, for example in very short links, where the receivers can be overloaded.
Description
These attenuators have very high return loss, without filters or air gap. The fixed value attenuators are made by a fiber fusion technology based on the physical attribute of the evanescent coupling, in order to create the attenuation level required.
Features
- High return loss.
- Low insertion tolerance.
- Environmentally stable
- Easy to handle.
- Low polarization sensitivity
- Attenuation and connectorization defined by the customer.
Applications
- Telecommunications.
- Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Fiber to the home (FTTH).
- Cable Television (CATV).
- Optical fiber sensors.
- Test equipments.
- In short links to avoid overload in the receiver
