Hybrid Optic Adapters

Hybrid Adapters (or double hybrid female) permit the connection between two optical fiber connectors of different type, keeping the optical and mechanical features.

In its inner part, the (sleeve), ensures a very precise alignment of the ferrules of the connectors and therewith alignment of the optical fibers in connection. In this way, minimum insertion loss values are assured.

The inner sleeve can be made of phospor bronce or zirconia, being the zirconia more durable and having therefore a longer life. Hybrid Adapters for single mode connectors can be used for multimode connectors..
