Features
- Chassis remote WDM management:
AO-100-IB used in combination with a chassis equipped with WDM filters allows remote management of teh chassis miniSAE, metroSAE and triSAE installed in the user's home, using the same fiber where the data is transported without the need for deploying an Ethernet circuit and/or RTC for monitoring. - 1310nm and 1550nm versions:
Remote monitoring frames are transported on the same fibers used for client traffic, working in complementary window. Versions for 40km (1310nm) and 80km (1550nm) available. - Full chassis management:
A couple of cards AO-100-IB located in the central chassis/client enables the remote management of all cards located on the client's site. - No external connections:
Card AO-100-IB does not require external electrical connection: through the chassis' backplain it communicates automatically with the SNMP controller. - Options 1+0 and 1+1:
Along with the 1+0 solution, particularly suitable for non-diversified circuits, TELNET supplies version 1+1 with two optical interfaces developed to provide remote management services to the chassis whose traffic is diversified in the route.

Remote WDM management card for SAE chassis in client's home
The AO-100-IB cards are a powerful tool to provide remote management MiniSAE and TriSAE chassis located in client's home, without using additional fibers: the management is carried in an additional window to the user traffic, using the WDM multiplexers of metroSAE chassis.
The TELNET solution for in band WDM management with AO-100-IB replaces the traditional IP management (ISDN/ADSL router) and/or RTC supervision. Since the Ethernet port of a central chassis can manage up to 12 remote chassis installed at client's home.
Complementary windows
AO-100-IB multiplex management traffic along with client's traffic. For the solution to interoperability, transmission and traffic management should be programmed in complementary windows. Along with each card AO-100-IB TELNET distributes the hoselines fiber needed for the interconnection with with the chassis' WDM filters.
AO-100-IB 1+0 has an optical port: using the backplane of the chassis, the management is automatically routed to the SNMP controller. AO-100-IB has an additional 1+1 optical port to handle a second diversified traffic circuit.
Management solution with AO-100-IB incorporates the maximum guarantees of security: from the client's equipment the core of the network monitoring does is not accessible.
SNMP Plus in central chassis
WDM Management solution with AO-100-IB cards requires that the central chassis is equipped with a SNMP Plus management controller. The remote chassis support first-generation SNMP controller.
Installation diagram
AO-100-IB must work in a complementary window to the window selected for the traffic. Using supplied optical fibers, STM-xx-AO and AO-100-IB cards are interconnected with their corresponding inputs of the WDM optical filters of the chassis, according to the figure. For each link route the management traffic will travel multiplexed with the user traffic. The central chassis requires a SNMP Plus controller with their firmware updated to the latest version to support the WDM management. The remote chassis can be controlled by first generation SNMP.
