Features
- 4 8b/10B channels over SDH
Allows to carry 4-channel with 8b/10b coding over a SDH STM-16 frame ensuring the integrity and quality of service for each of the signals. - GbE, FC, FICON and 2G FC
AnySAE can multiplex the following protocols: Gigabit Ethernet, FICON, ESCON, FiberChannel and Double FibreChannel. - Supported Encapsulations
GFP-Transparent, GFP-Framed, LAPS X.85, PPP/BCP, LAPS X.86. - Low latency and compatibility
AO-16 1+1 STM introduces minimal latencies in the SDH channel. This module is compatible with the ITU-T specification and interoperates with the leading suppliers of SDH equipment. - SFP optical modules
Optical modules based on removable optical SFP interfaces (Small Form-factor Plug-in). The equipment can monitor via SNMP parameters as the optical power emitted, received, temperature and current polarization of lasers. - Clock recovery
Includes 3R clock recovery in the five optical interfaces.

Transport of Gigabit, Fiberchannel and FICON services over SDH
The AnySAE card can carry up to 4 8b/10b coded services (Gigabit Ethernet, FICON, ESCON, Fiber Channel 1G and 2G) into a standard STM-16.
The AnySAE adapter is operational since inserting the first optical interface, allowing configuration hot-change by inserting new optical modules without interrupting or cutting the user's channels in operation. Similarly, the card can be hot inserted and removed from its chassis.
In Gigabit Ethernet configuration, the equipment can encapsulate 100% of two GigabitEthernet traffic channels or a variable percentage of the four GbE channels using flow-control operations. The team reroutes jumbo frames and frames with VLAN tags.
When the encapsulated protocol is Double Fibrechannel (2G), the card AnySAE encapsulates a single optical flow.
Interfaces
AnySAE has five removable SFPS optical interfaces: four user interfaces and a network interface to choose from a wide variety of ranges in fiber, including electrical 1000BaseT interfaces (in the user side) and xWDM interfaces (on the network side).
From the SNMP management system it is optionally possible to monitor physical parameters of the interfaces as: received and transmitted power, intensity of laser polarization (detects premature aging) and the internal temperature of the modules.
Moreover, the facilities for loops establishment in the five optical interfaces allow the detection of flaws and failures delimiting responsibilities along the user/operator path.
