GPON Doctor™ can regenerate services established over a PON network. i.e. Multicast video can be sniffed & reassembled in real time and watched on GPON Doctors™ screen. This feature is perfect to evaluate QoS and QoE of configured services over a PON.

Analyzer GPON-Doctor 8000
GPON Doctor analyzer is a passive Chipset-Less analyzer for GPON FTTH protocol. Its connected to a point on the fiber distribution of a GPON FTTH network and capture data at bit level in both upstream and downstream, performing all the control information at: OAM, PLOAM and OMCI. Fully interoperability-oriented analysis, it is ideal for operators in the deployment phase or GPON and GPON hardware integrators.
Capturer+Analyzer+Evaluator
GPON-Doctor analyzer is a fully autonomous solution: Composed of a hardware board of data capture, a high performance chassis/equipment and software for analysis and evaluation of the data captured.
Based on our own implementation, the capture hardware includes last generation optical modules and great processing power. Capable of synchronizing with the Downstream and Upstream data flow of the GPON fiber and automatic calibration, it allows to do captures of up to 30 minutes in length.

Certification of interoperability between GPON manufacturers
The Analysis Software interprets the captured data and allows the operator to inspect the control flow from the first to the last frame, selecting and filtering data following configurable criteria. It also analyzes the content of the control information inferring the topology and state of a GPON network: ONTs preset, data channels established, configuration exchanged, bandwidth analysis and graphics for each ONT by TCONT.
The GPON Protocol Evaluation System applies a set of contextualized, dynamic rules to test if the captured traffic complies with the ITU-T G.984.x protocol: Generating a final inform listing al protocol violations of possible sources of malfunction.
OLT Emulator
GPON-Doctor 8000 is a OLT Emulator. Different configurations and templates can be created to emulate commercial OLTs with which to monitor and compare the behavior of an ONT.
The OLT emulation module also allows the reception and report of events, messages and alarms associated with the responses to each of the OMCI messages sent to the ONT.
The module not only acts as OMCI master, also supports generation of PLOAM message to perform different functions at GTC level: Enable and Configure the GEM OMCC port, password authentication tests, etc.
At OMCI level, the behavior of the OLT emulator can be programmed using templates of operation, or it also offers the ability to manipulate one by one, interactively, resident OMCI entities in each ONT: Operations of Creation, Destruction, Reading, Writing , Test, etc.

Using templates for emulation of different commercial OLT
Supports reception and transmission of traffic encapsulated in GEM frames, carrying real Ethernet traffic through a 10Gbps transport interface. Through this port it can be connected to a generator to detect traffic incidents in the transmission of data between the ONT and OLT (Point of network of packet loss, sources of error) by the capture and analysis module and its ability of real-time traffic extraction and analysis. This interface also supports various configurations of filtering and VLAN tagging both at ONT and OLT level.

Windows XP Embedded
The GPON-Doctor analyzer is based on Windows XP Embedded, which allows to include (according to the needs of the client) tools for analysis and management for other service protocols used on the GPON network to be evaluated. Very intuitive and usable, with a very low learning curve that lets you start using it right from the start.
