Afterwards 4GBB and HFCC/G.Fast, this project is proposed as continuation of the previous, its completions supposes ending the challenge of the standardization, complete development and field testing of the G.Fast technology started by its two predecessors projects 4GBB and HFCC/G.Fast, as the research of new “backhaul” techniques and new functionalities that allows to reach higher performances that the ones proposse by the G.Fast technology on its current standard version. Practically the same partners from the previous projects are involved and companies as Alcatel-Lucent (Germany) , Sagecom (France) and operators as Deutsche Telekom (Germany) since the interest in  G.Fast technology has grown.

This Project supposes the third phase in this set of projects which has been awarded with the CELTIC-Plus hallmark which has as main mission standardization and development of innovative technology for hybrid FTTH fiber – copper networks known as G.fast for future 4GBB services at Gbit/s rates
